GLENTRESS. TWEED VALLEY

SO MANY QUESTIONS, SUCH LITTLE TIME:

WHAT DOES MY TICKET INCLUDE?

Your ticket is valid for the duration of the event and provides you with access to all entertainment in the event area, plus free use of the test bikes and the shuttle/uplift. You will also have free use of the showers and toilets. Please check the terms and conditions for using the Specialized test bikes.

MUST I BRING MY OWN BIKE?

We highly recommend bringing your own bike. Even though Specialized will have a range of test bikes, we anticipate high demand each day. Alpine Bikes is the local bike shop and offers hourly bike hire.

CAN I USE MY OWN BIKE ON THE UPLIFT?

Yes, you are able to use your own bike however you must queue in the shuttle load area. Trail Days Mountain Bike Festival does not take responsibility for any loss or damage of personal bikes.

CAN I TAKE A TEST BIKE ON THE UPLIFT?

Test bikes are available in hour long slots, so there won't be enough time to take a test bike on the uplift. Glentress trails are right on the doorstep, so we recommend going there to get the most out of your time on the test bike.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE UPLIFT?

No - the uplift is included in your ticket. There will be regular shuttles/uplifts and you can use the service as many times as you like during the day. Please be aware that in very busy periods, you will be required to queue.

IS THERE ANYWHERE TO STORE MY BIKE SECURELY?

Yes. Secure bike parking is included in your ticket, but it is limited and will be first-come, first-served.

IS THE EVENT FAMILY FRIENDLY?

Yes. The trails at Glentress are suitable for all ages/abilities and a smaller, quieter camping area is designated for families. This will be first-come, first-serve, with a limit to 50 tickets. Reserve your space by emailing us. There is also a Go Ape within a 5-minute walk.

CAN I BUY FOOD AND DRINK AT THE FESTIVAL?

Yes - there will be a wide range of food vendors in the main event space. There is also fresh water available 24-hours a day from a few points around the site. Check the Food & Drinks page for more info.

CAN I USE MY BBQ?

Due to the danger of damaging the grass, no open fires or BBQ's are allowed on the site. Gas cookers are permitted, but they must be above ground and always monitored when in use.

IS CAMPING FREE?

Yes - camping is free. We do not have pre-erected tents this year, so please bring your own camping gear.

CAN I BRING A SPEAKER FOR MUSIC?

Speakers are permitted, but please be courteous to fellow campers. All music in the campsite must end by 23:30.

HOW BIG A TENT CAN I BRING?

There's no maximum camping tent size, but please be aware that gazebos or event tents of any size cannot be allowed. This is completely down to safety concerns, especially in high-winds.

DO I HAVE TO CAMP?

For anyone not wanting to camp, there are plenty of hotels within a 3-mile radius, but you'll need to book as soon as possible.

WILL THERE BE SECURITY ON SITE?

Yes, security will be on the event site 24 hours a day and will patrol the campsite throughout the night. The security team have been employed to ensure the safety of each and every festival attendee, so please be polite and listen to their instructions.

CAN I SLEEP IN MY VAN/MOTORHOME?

Of course you can. You can park in the mobile home/motorhome car park, or you can park in the field. Unfortunately, due to a lack of connection points, we cannot provide hook-ups to water or the electricity system. If you do require electricity and water hook ups, please contact Glentress Forest Lodges.

IS PARKING FREE DURING THE EVENT?

Yes, parking is free. There is a designated field for parking which is alongside the camp field. Please keep a lookout for the signs as you approach the venue. In the unlikelihood that any vehicle should get stuck, we have provisions for towing drivers out of the field. Last entry to the site is 22:00. Please contact us should you require a later check-in.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

Of course you can! Dogs are more than welcome, especially if they are good boys. Please be aware that they must be kept on leads at all times, and you must clean up their mess.

DO I NEED TO PAY TO GO ON THE PUMP TRACK?

There is no charge for the pump track, but at certain times of the day they will be reserved for coaching. Please check the event timings to see when these areas are available.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR COACHING?

The mens and women's coaching sessions will be released at the sign-on tent at the beginning of the day. They are first-come, first-serve, so be sure to get your name down early to avoid disappointment.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR GUIDED RIDES?

Guided rides will be released at the sign-on tent at the beginning of the day. They are first-come, first-serve, so be sure to get your name down early to avoid dissapointment.

CAN I BUY TRAIL DAYS MERCH?

Trail Days merch is available in the event village.

I BOOKED AN EARLY BIRD TICKET, WHERE DO I GET MY MUDGUARD?

All mudguards will be shipped prior to the event. Please bear with us!

WILL THERE BE AN ATM ON SITE?

There won't be an ATM on site, but vendors will take card. There are ATM's in Peebles, which is just a 7-minute drive, 15-minute ride or a 45-minute walk.

I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS. WHERE CAN I ASK THEM?

If you have any more questions, just drop us an email to info@traildays.co.uk or connect with us on Facebook. We endeavour to reply within 24-hours to all enquiries, but over the weekend we're probably riding our bikes, so hold tight.

WHAT'S YOUR REFUND POLICY?

Our refund policy is simple. If you can't come, or a member of your party can't make it, just drop us an email. We'll refund you up to 48-hours before the event starts, i.e the last refund is Wednesday at 09:00 as the event starts on Friday at 09:00.
